With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Dilmohan Chandi Kuar Singh, at the age of 89, surrounded by his loving family in Toronto, Canada.
Born in Cedros, Trinidad and Tobago to Kuar and Rampiare, Dilmohan was the second son of nine children, including his brother and lifelong confidante, Hollis and sister, Nicey. He worked to become a physician, graduating from the University of Manitoba, and enjoyed a long career dedicated to the care of his patients. He shared 51 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Merle. As a devoted father, he leaves behind his dear children: Sean, Sheldon, Suzanne, and Steve, who miss him deeply. Father-in-law to Katrina and Liana, and indulgent grandfather to Matthew, Dilan, Christiaan, Sofia, Sari, and Shayne, all of whom remember him with fondness. Brother-in-law to the Tilluckdharry, Bhagwandass, Coolman, Ramnarine and Gobin families, and uncle and friend to many. His legacy will live on through the countless memories and love he shared with his family and friends. Our sincere gratitude to the medical teams and caring staff at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre who provided exceptional care and comfort.
Romans 14:8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
