Edward Hall

Edward (Ed) Alexander Hall passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024 at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto after a long battle with cancer. Ed was born in Cardiff, Wales on October 28, 1948 and moved to Canada in 1974, working most of his career for Hydro One (now Inergy). He resided in Leaside for the past 20 years. Ed, known lovingly as Ted to family, is survived by family in Canada and abroad: in Hamilton, his sister Carolyn Jeffrey, husband Bob and their children Megan and Owen, in Wales, sister-in-law Mari Hall, nephew Andrew Hall and niece Lynette Grimwood, niece Claire Prynne, her children, Lauren, Kate, and Mikey, and niece Debbie Wilkinson and her children, Luke, Adam and Hana and in Niagara Falls, cousin Steve White and extended family. Ed was preceded in death by his brother Jeff and sister Jan. Ed was known for his incredible kindness, generosity, and sense of humour. He was an amazing storyteller and had many interests, including music, movies, reading, playing the guitar, golfing, cycling, and of course, soccer. He loved afternoons at the pub enjoying a cold pint and a good “craic” with his many friends, as well as entertaining at home. Ed made a lasting impression on everyone he knew. He will be especially missed by close family and friends who meant everything to him, and whose lives he deeply enriched with his incredible spirit. Ed will forever live in our hearts. As per Ed’s wishes, there will be no service.
