BAKER, IAN JOSEPH- 58, Toronto, Ontario passed away peacefully in the Princess Margaret Cancer Center with his sister by his side.

Ian was born to the late Douglas O’Neill of Portuguese Cove and Ann Paton of Greenock, Scotland. He was the adopted son of the

late Murray Baker and Marion (Arnold) Baker of East Jeddore.

Ian was an upbeat, fun-loving, kind and gentle man. He loved life, his family, friends and God. He loved to talk for hours about

religion, politics, hockey, history and many other topics.

Ian coached little league sports while attending Dalhousie University. He worked at a variety of jobs, hospital orderly, personal

care worker, bar tender, security guard.

Ian worked for Securitas Canada for over 18 years and G4S for five. He graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts in

Philosophy June 12,2000. He was accepted in the Canadian Arm Forces with rank of Private. However, life led him on a different

path.

He will be dearly missed by his brother Neil (Brenda), sisters; Lorianne (Glenn), Maureen (Norm), Brenda (Wayne), and Christine.

He will be missed by many nephews and nieces. He also be missed by his good friends Rosemary and Tom, Ron and Leigh, Father

Paul MacNeil, Bob, Rosa, Father Fernando, Beverly and many more.

Ian was predeceased by both sets of parents, his brothers, Ronnie, Brian and Douglas.

No visitation, his remains returning back to NS to his families. Celebration of Life will take place in Nova Scotia at a later date.
