It is with great sadness that the family of John Cheung
(

) announce his passing.
John Cheung
(
張祥禧
), born in Hong Kong on Aug. 6, 1937, passed away peacefully at Scarborough E. General Hospital on Nov. 8, 2020 at the age of 83 years. Forever remembered by his wife Amy, son David, sister Ivy, brother in-law Tim, sister in-law Pui Ying & brother in-law Kam.
John was a chef in Hong kong and Canada. After retirement, John was an active and well recognized volunteer in the Senior Services Department of University Settlement.
John was an affable, respectful and generous person, he was always kind to friends and family and easy going. He was a loving, loyal and devoted father and husband, and will be greatly missed.
Due to unprecedented times, no service will be held but we encourage friends and family to reach out to his wife Amy and son David to provide encouragement, love and support. John is finally laid to rest in Mausoleum of the Risen Christ, Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family wish to send a special thank you to Scarborough E. General Hospital for their care and compassion.
