Murray Douglas Davis passed away, surrounded by loved ones at home on Tuesday, November 8th after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 66.

Murray will be remembered as a gentle, quiet soul who touched the lives of so many. He loved to entertain, and his fabulous dinners were enjoyed by many family and friends. His children’s friends would always comment on their amazing, kind, fun and loveable Dad.

He is survived by his true love and soulmate Debbie. Loving father of Sandy (Jeff), Stephen (Maritza) and Joseph as well as his four grandchildren that he adored: Abby, Maya, Michael and Esteban. He also leaves behind his mother Pansy and sister Heather (Bruce) and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

This summer Dad decided he did not want a funeral. Instead he wanted a party where all those he loved could join him for laughs and a good glass of wine. In August, we had a Celebration of Life where great memories were shared and more memories were made.

During Dad’s battle with cancer he never complained and always kept his sense of humour. Last week he told the family the joke:

‘I have good news and bad news for you, the good news is there is golf in heaven, the bad news is your tee time is tomorrow at noon’

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Sandy Duggan’s Ride to Conquer Cancer. His daughter will be riding in his memory.
