Pires, Luis de Aguiar

It is with a heavy heart that the family communicates the passing of Luis de Aguiar Pires. After a prolonged illness, Luis passed away peacefully on January 2, 2017 at Humber River Hospital, Wilson site, in Toronto, Canada.

Luis was born June 19 1939 in Porto Judeu, Terceira, Portugal to the late Joao Borges Pires and Amelia Vieira de Aguiar.

He is survived by his beloved wife Natalia Maria Pereira Pires and his beloved dog Negrita (os meus dois amores), daughters Natalia Roque (Carlos) and Lucilia Pires (Neil), son David Pires (Ana), grandchildren Jessica Cabral (Bruno), Benton Pires, Sergio Roque,

Martin Reid, and Nathaniel Pires, great grand daughters Sophia and Daniella Cabral, and many nieces and nephews.

Luis will be remembered by his family and friends as a kind and generous man who always tried to put a smile on everyone’s face.

Luis loved to spend time at his trailer at Whispering Pines in Hepworth, Ontario, where he was able to enjoy his greatest passion, fishing.

Luis’ family extend their sincere gratitude to the many friends and family who assisted him during his illness and final moments. As Luis’ final wish, he will be cremated and his ashes scattered at his favorite fishing hole. At his request, he will be cremated and no service will be held.
