It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Michael Charles Dennis at Chester Village Long Term Care. Richard was a kind and generous soul, known for his deep love for family.

He will be missed by his sisters Kathleen and Aleta, his brother-in-law John, cherished niece Annie, and his beloved son Aidan (Youssef) in Brisbane, Australia.

Richard had a lifelong passion for music, car racing, and, most of all, the family cottage in Haliburton, where he found joy and peace throughout his life. He was also a highly creative and artistic person with a great flair for decorating his homes and cars, always bringing his unique vision to life.

A longtime employee of Bell Canada, Richard faced the challenges of multiple sclerosis over the last 15 years. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff at Chester Village, whose compassionate care and kindness brought comfort to Richard and his family in his final years.

A private memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s memory may be made to Chester Village via CanadaHelps.

Rest easy, Richard. You will always be loved and remembered.
