Ruth Elizabeth DeNure

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Elizabeth DeNure on February 10, 2025, after a brief illness. She was 13 months old.

Ruth was born to Rebecca and Andrew DeNure in Toronto on December 15, 2023. Known for her peekabo skills and signature scootch, Ruth was ready with a smile and a wave everywhere she went. Ruth loved Ding Dong (her llama xylophone) all things musical, and all animals, including her family pets. Ruth enjoyed reading books and discovering new things, and she wasn’t afraid to get covered in paint to make art.

Ruth was predeceased by her great grandfather Duane Kehl, her great grandparents Bill and Frances Hook, Dorothy and Fred DeNure, Elizabeth and Joe Lindsay, and her grandmother Susan DeNure. She will be dearly missed by her loving extended family, including her great grandmother, grandparents, and a squad of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life for Ruth will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm in the Garden Hall at the Toronto Botanical Garden (777 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto). Light refreshments and hugs will be provided.
